Lurje Logistics provides a full range of transport and logistics services on the international market, including cross-docking services. This logistics operation is a direct delivery, in which the shipment of goods to the warehouse and its subsequent delivery to the recipient are strictly agreed on time and excludes the storage of goods in the warehouse. As a result of this operation, products from the manufacturer (supplier) are delivered as soon as possible.
There are several types of cross-docking:
Single-step. When the recipient addresses the cargo to a specific point of sale. In this case, the cargo passes through the warehouse as a separate order without modification.
Two-stage. Cross-docking services of this type assume that the batch of goods that was shipped by the supplier to the warehouse as a logistics unit is re-formed. The goods in the warehouse can be divided into groups, each of which is delivered to the specified point of sale, or formed into a logistics unit together with other parts of the same order. In the case of two-stage cross-docking, the storage of cargo in the warehouse is also excluded.
This service allows you to significantly reduce the delivery time, as well as reduce the costs associated with storing cargo in a warehouse. To order the services of Lurje Logistics, just fill out an online application on our website or call by phone.
